2011 East Coast Music Week
The Country Confidential went behind the scenes in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island during East Coast Music Week 2011, emceeing the Country Stage and chatting with favourites like George Canyon, Dean Brody, Jimmy Rankin, Rik Reese and Neon Highway, and more!
The Country Confidential welcomed George Canyon to the Cavendish Beach Music Festival Country Stage in Charlottetown during East Coast Music Week. Join us at the Festival in July to see George on the main stage along with Brad Paisley, Corb Lund, Trace Adkins, Ricky Scaggs, Johnny Reid, and many more!
Dean Brody performed on the Country Stage Saturday afternoon, then showed up that evening to hang out with his fans, autograph a Cavendish Beach Music Festival t-shirt, and helped the Country Confidential give it away onstage!
Dave Gunning and John Morgan chat after their performances on the Country Stage at Fishbones in downtown Charlottetown!
Rebecca catches up with Jimmy Rankin during East Coast Music Week
The Country Confidential also chatted with John Morgan after his performance on the Country Stage. His new album is called "The Little Things", though the Country Confidential predicts there are big things ahead for John! You'll find "The Little Things" on iTunes.
Katie McGarry wowed the crowd with backup from the Scott Currie Band. Rebecca Black commented, "Katie McGarry is Taylor Swift meets Patsy Cline!" Check out a sample of Katie's performance below.
Rebecca also had a chance to catch up with Katie's aunt - internationally-known Bluegrass musician Janet McGarry!
And the winner is...
Here's a sample of why Meaghan Blanchard won the award for 2011 Country
Recording of the Year at the East Coast Music Awards!

"Those
